Local Economy and Alternative Currencies presentation November 29th, 7PM

Media, PA – Join Transition Town Media on Tuesday, November 29th from 7-9 pm at the Media Borough Community Center, 301 N. Jackson St., Media, for an in-depth discussion on local currencies.

Find out how we can help our community and local businesses thrive by having different parallel currencies in the Media area. We will host two nationally-known experts for a timely discussion of alternative currencies. Our speakers will be Nick Kacher of the New Economics Institute (formerly the E. F. Schumacher Society) who is involved with Berkshares, a very successful local currency in western Massachusetts, and Paul Glover, creator of Ithaca Hours, another popular currency in Ithaca, NY for the past 20 years. Each will share their experiences with local currencies followed by a group discussion. This is a free event, donations always gratefully accepted. Refreshments will be available.
