Vote in the Spring Primary, April 24th

Well, spring is in the air and so that means it must be Primary Election time. For Republicans watching the national election and wishing to see Obama replaced with their candidate, tomorrow is your day. For Democrats, the primary marks a few choices in terms of who will run in the national election in November.

While Santorum dropped out April 10th, his name will appear on the Republican ballot along with frontrunner Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and Newt Gingrich.

Republicans also have a choice of five candidates to run against incumbent Bob Casey, Jr.:

  • CHRISTIAN, David Alan
  • SCARINGI, Marc A.
  • WELCH, Steven D.
  • SMITH, Tom
  • ROHRER, Sam
After that, the choices are pretty much single choices, save:

You’ll also see a chance to vote for former councilman James Cunningham as Eastern Committeeman for Media Borough.

On the Democratic side, not so many choices. Barack Obama is the lone candidate for president, with Bob Casey, Jr. getting some competition for U.S. Senate race from Joseph John Vodvarka who is running on the platform “I’m not a politician. I’ve never served in public office.”

Candidates Kathleen Kane and Patrick Murphy are vying for democratic ballot position for Attorney General.
