Annual Brandywine Valley Craft Brewers Festival to be Hosted by Iron Hill Media

RELEASE – On Saturday, May 17 beginning at 1 p.m.Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (30 East State Street, 610-627-9000) will host their 14th annual Brandywine Valley Craft Brewers Festival.

Offerings from 17 diverse local breweries (as well as other Iron Hill locations) will be showcased, and proceeds will be donated to the Media Youth Center.

The event will be held rain or shine, with live music all day and all beers included in ticket pricing.  Food will be available from Iron Hill on a pay-as-you-go basis throughout the festival.

“At Iron Hill, giving back to our neighbors is a critical part of who we are and what we do, and each year, our Media location contributes considerably to their community with the Brandywine Valley Craft Brewers Festival,” says Iron Hill Director of Brewing Operations Mark Edelson.  “We’re proud to host this exciting celebration of beer and brewing, now in its 14thyear, and especially excited to honor our brewers who recently earned medals at the World Beer Cup.”

Tickets are available online, and are $45 per person; advance purchase is strongly suggested, as this event often sells out early.  Remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for $50 per person at the door, while designated driver tickets will be available for $5 per person.

All guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to enter.  All proceeds will be donated to the Media Youth Center, which provides a safe environment, along with a wide array of recreational and educational programs, for area youth.

Founded by home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has blossomed from one restaurant and brewery to nearly a dozen locations across the mid-Atlantic, with several more planned for the next three to five years.  Each restaurant is dedicated to producing and serving top-quality hand-crafted beers and cuisine in a warm and hospitable setting, and all are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

Iron Hill Media opens at 11 a.m. daily, seven days a week.  Full hours, including food service and bar service hours, are available on their website.  From 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sundays, the restaurant offers a prix fixe Prime Rib Dinner, featuring a choice of garden salad or a cup of soup, followed by roast prime rib of beef or pan-seared North Atlantic salmon, paired with a pint of house beer or a glass of house wine, for just $21.95 per person.  Every day until 11 p.m., guests can choose any two Iron Hill pizzas and a growler of house beer for just $25, available for take-out only.  Happy Hour is offered Monday through Fridayfrom 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., and includes special pricing on house and seasonal beers, as well as house wines, specialty cocktails and shared plates.
