TransitionTown Media Hosts FreeStore Frolic and Potluck on Saturday August 16th

Aug 16

RELEASE –  TransitionTown Media announces a celebration of its successful new venture, the Media FreeStore on Saturday, August 16th from 5-10pm.

The Media FreeStore offers a place to share material belongings, to share stories and fellowship, to forge new friendships and enjoy older ones.

Now three months old, the FreeStore offers people an opportunity to come to grips with their relationships to the material things in their lives, and to envision new ways to relate to material culture.

What:  Creek-side Potluck and FreeStore Frolic (Bring a dish to share!)

Where:  281 Bishop Hollow Rd, Media 19063 (near the intersection of Bishop Hollow, Chapel Hill Rd, and N Ridley Creek Rd, at the edge of Ridley Creek State Park). We’ll have a sandwich board at the driveway entrance to make it easier to find.

Parking:  If you park in the nearby Park parking lot, please leave a note on your dashboard that says you’re at a party at 281 Bishop Hollow Rd. Otherwise, the park police will search the park for you after dark and they won’t be a bit happy! There is some parking available at the house, so check there first (we’ll have some notes for your car, too).

Free Store Frolic

Everyone is welcome – FreeStore volunteers, patrons, supporters, and anyone interested in the store – please don’t forget the kids! Get to know your fellow FreeStore fans, share your FreeStore stories, share your favorite songs and food, splash in the creek and swing on the rope swing – it’s a great get-together with friends, food, and music!

Bring a dish to share, bring musical instruments if you like, bring chairs or blankets to sit on, and bring the whole family! Enjoy an end-of-summer frolic on the banks of Ridley Creek!
