1 West State Street: Politics

1 West State Street was sold last night during the Special Meeting to Claudio Sandolo for $670,000, by a vote of 4-3. The vote took place after almost 55 minutes of heated discussion among borough council members and the public.

The votes in favor were Pete Alyanakian (R), Jim Cunningham (R), Monika Rehoric (D),  and Dawn Roe (I), and against were Monica Simpson (D), Eric Stein (D), and Peter Williamson (D).

The offer from The Heritage Group was first voted down by a vote of 3-4, with the above votes reversed.

Tedman O'Hara Reported the Vote 33 minutes before the meeting started

So much for public input

The meeting took place at 7:30 PM at the Media Borough complex in the 2nd floor meeting room. Over 20 residents and concerned parties turned out to express their opinion and hear the rationale for the decision.

Tedman O’Hara, head of the Republican Party in Media, and author of All Things Media PA blog, reported the outcome of the vote at 6:57 PM last night, 33 minutes before the meeting started.

The question is: Why did the head of the Media Republican party report the  outcome of the vote before the meeting started?
