Media Borough website gets a facelift, new features

Media Borough updated their web site today, adding new features to make it easier for residents to find information, get involved, and keep up to date with what’s going on in the borough.

The web site development project started in early 2011 and was completed due to the efforts of the Technology Committee, headed by Councilwoman Monica Simpson, and assisted by Councilman Dr. Eric Stein, and resident Kent Davidson. [Full disclosure: Kent is the author of this site, and is also a candidate for borough council]

The new site is fully content managed, meaning that all departments in the Borough can update their own sections of the site; the previous system required all changes to go through a single person. This will, hopefully, enable residents to get information faster  than previously.

In addition, the site has new features which integrate with your calendar to allow residents to add events to their calendar easily.

Note that the site was turned on today, and will likely change slowly in the next few months based on feedback from residents. So … take a look, and be sure to leave feedback here, or there.

I like it so far — much easier to navigate and find what is needed. I look forward to investigating it further. I think the look is good, too.

  2. Great design! Congrats for the good job!
