Media Rotary Pancake Day: Saturday March 24th, 8 AM to 12 AM

Mar 17

The Rotary Club of Media is sponsoring a Pancake Day on Saturday, March 24th from 8 AM until 12 PM at Media Elementary School.

The event is open to all ages, and all proceeds from the event will be used for community projects. Price of admission is $5 for adults, and $3 for children under twelve. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Attendees will get all-they-can-eat pancakes, coffee and juice, and sausage as part of their meal.

Bryan Messick, President of the The Rotary Club of Media, said “It’s a great community event that the Rotary and the borough of Media have enjoyed for the past 46 years, please come out and support it… all proceeds go to local non-profits in the area.

This year, the club will be providing Gluten-Free Pancakes for attendees who may have allergies or intolerances to gluten.

It’s a great opportunity to get to know members of your community, and indirectly support projects which benefit Media, and the greater community.

The Rotary Club of Media is a part of Rotary International, and is a service organization which donates money to local causes. Recent projects include the peace wall at Ridley Creek state park, scholarships for students in Wallingford and Rose-Tree Media School Districts, the drop box at the Media Upper Providence Library. Residents may not know that the iconic town clock on the Plum Street mall was donated by the Rotary Club of Media.

Rotary International has been continuing its campaign to eradicate polio internationally, and recently reduced the number of countries at risk from 4 to 3, with India being removed from the countries at risk for polio.
